Pastor Scott Kircher began serving at Hickory Creek Community Church as the Interim Pastor in October, 2004. During this time, God began revitalizing Hickory Creek and the church decided to call Scott as their Senior Pastor in April of 2005.

Scott has not always been in pastoral ministry but sensed God's call into the ministry in the fall of 2000. Scott was working as a financial futures broker for a bank at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange at that time. He had been involved in various leadership positions within the church for years but sensed God calling him to greater service and commitment. He began working toward his seminary degree and was licensed as a minister of the gospel in January of 2001.

While pursuing his seminary work and serving in the church, Scott continued to work outside the church. However, in April of 2002, Scott sensed God calling him to take a step of faith and he left his job and volunteered full-time as an Associate Pastor at the church he was at. In January of 2003, he was brought onto the full-time paid staff of his church. As Scott neared the end of his seminary training in 2004, God called him to take the role at Hickory Creek as the interim pastor which led to him taking the role of Senior Pastor in April of 2005.

Scott has been married to his wife Laura since 1989 and they have 3 wonderful kids: Jason, Adam, & Melanie. Laura is also an active part of the ministry helping lead the Power Zone Kids Ministry as well as being involved with our TBD Sr. High Ministry and helping organize special events for the church.

Scott and Laura have been amazed to be part of such an amazing work that God has been doing at Hickory Creek and look forward to His continued work in the church and through His people.

Billy Knott began serving as the Associate Pastor of Worship and Youth at Hickory Creek in August of 2010. After receiving Jesus as his Savior in 1996, Billy began serving in ministry as a Director of Worship for youth and adults in 1999 while still working full time in the business world. Billy began serving full time and was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel in 2006 and has continued serving the Lord in both youth and worship ministries. Billy’s areas of study are in Systematic Theology, Biblical Theology, Christian Apologetics and Ministry Coaching.

During this same time, Billy was also the lead singer and guitarist for the Christian band, “Temple” from 2001 to 2009. In that role he ministered to people through music at conferences, festivals and outreach events performing with artists such as Steven Curtis Chapman and the Newsboys as well as speakers like Chonda Pierce and Ruth Graham.

Billy has a heart to see youth, as well as adults, grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and not only loves to use his gifts and talents in music to help people draw closer to Christ, but loves to help people grow in their faith through leading Bible studies as well as being in Discipleship and mentoring relationships along with his wife, Penny.

Billy and Penny were married in 1993, and they have 2 daughters; Noel (born in 1996) and Jordan (born in 1998). Billy’s hobbies include weight lifting, fishing, and doing anything fun with his family.
