TBD
Junior and Senior High School Ministry

As God continues to grow Hickory Creek Community Church, we desire to continue to provide ministries that will help believers “love God, love people, and live out” their faith on a daily basis.  One such ministry that will be starting this September will be geared towards Junior and Senior High Students.  For now, we will be calling this ministry TBD – “To Be Determined.”  The official name of this group is not only to be determined, but the future of each student who joins us is also to be determined – determined by what they do with the person of Jesus Christ.

The overriding goal of this group will be to “Go Wide / Go Deep.”  We desire to go wide with the gospel, telling others of the good news of salvation found only in Jesus Christ.  We also desire to go deep in the Word of God and in maturity in our Christian walks.  When Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:18-20 to “make disciples,” he has in mind both the salvation of those who do not know Christ and the growth of those who have already received His amazing gift – it is this kind of disciple
making that TBD will be focused on.

We want to encourage all students in grades 7-12 to come out on Sunday, September 9th from 6:23pm-8:32pm as we begin a teaching series called “The Gospel Journey.”  Our meeting times may seem strange, but they are based on the references of two key verses from the book of Romans that we will seek to center TBD around:

6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

8:32 – He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Please pray for us as we strive be faithful and effective in discipling the youth God has entrusted us with.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Pastor Scott or Pastor Andy at the church.  Also, if you are interested in serving as a leader in this exciting new group, we would love to hear from you.

In Christ,

Pastor Scott & Pastor Andy
