Suicide Prevention Training
Mon, May 1st 7pm - 9pm
Hickory Creek Church 10660 W Lincoln Hwy Frankfort, IL 60442

May is Mental Health Awareness month. Before people make the "forever decision" (suicide), we can be trained to practice CPR for suicide prevention. It is QPR (Question Persuade and Refer). But it takes training. We are praying for 200 participants. Why? Because "Mental Health" issues among our population are aggravated and we need more workers. 200 is a token. This training will help you: Recognize the warning signs of suicide. Know how to offer hope. Know how to get help and save a life. When: May 1 (Monday Night) Time: 7-9 PM Location: Hickory Creek Church. Our trainer will be: Gia Washington, the Director of Community Education with the Sertoma Center. She earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Southern California Seminary. CEU credits available for social workers and counselors upon request.
